Art of Imagination
TLC vol.1


TLC, ‘Think Like Cloud’ is a D’Ark Room magazine that shows the invisible process of creating art works. The first issue of TLC, ‘Art of Imagination’, follows the theme of the exhibition at D’Ark Room and aims to capture and imagine the working process of four artists dealing with different media. Visual materials related to the artists’ works, such as the working process, handwritten notes, and drawings made for the works, are rearranged to make the image book along with additional texts from artists’ talk.

Hyunjeong Kimbak uses her photographic images as a palette to create a painting which she transfers into various types of installation and abstract images. Through painting, Hyunseon Son explores the surface of a material that is not directly related to the original functional purpose. Meen Yea Oh presents an artists’ book that interprets the act of 'reading' in various ways, paying attention to the sensual and functional traits of a book. Hyejin Jo asks questions about the value of the essential form of an object and reconstructs it in a given space.
