Her and My Parabola
Min Kyung

“I believe that unfair life or the desire to live better makes us migrate constantly. ‘Migration’, the word that is always mentioned in my works, is not only about physical moving, but also about the spiritual maturity of a human being”_Min Kyung

Min Kyung believes that the identity of a human being is most closely connected with his/her place, and tries to interpret images of places into texts, photography and installation works. The book ‘Her and My Parabola’ contains 16 novel style texts about two women growing up spiritually through several migrations and images of places that anyone would have experienced within Korean society. In this book, which aims to find one side of human life in the most ordinary and personal stories, the history of the two cross-edited women is repeated and derived like echoes, each drawing its own beautiful parabola.

The cover of this book was partly produced with silk screen prints by the artist herself, and the book, a limited edition of 60 copies, randomly includes one of two original prints.
