Alyssa fujita Karoui is a Japanese-Tunisian artist based in San Francisco. Her work explores transcendent moments of daily life through pure acts of seeing. Through photographs, the artist invites us to a space of meditation that is created by everyday pauses. ‘Minor Revelations’ focuses on ephemeral moments, vanishing moments, and seemingly insignificant objects of the everyday. It is a small meditation, a conversation with the ordinary, a momentary access to a timeless present where unspectacular scenarios connect us to larger moments of clarity, intimacy and grace. This accordion-style book contains the artist’s delicate gaze toward the infinite present. The book is handmade in a limited edition of 150 and each copy contains one original print.
