This book is Diane Pierce’s second book, following “Pencil Paper Scissors Light” which was also published by Datz Press. The artist’s work, which comes together through various processes like cutting paper on a small table, photographing cutouts against a backdrop, and creating assemblages, collages, and drawings, reveals an unknown and unpredictable space beyond set boundaries. Such creative processes are much like visual explorations, resembling an abstract performance. She introduces everyday objects and materials into her world, exploring the interaction between light and space, and through this, the artist creates unique stories. Her touch breathes life into paper and objects, transforming them into paper structures imbued with traces of light, and this journey is documented in this book for readers.
