Linda Connor has had a long and celebrated career in photography traveling the globe extensively to produce her work. She first visited Peru in 1984 and then again in 2010. Connor made a few hundred photographs, with her 8×10 view camera, her imagination has always leaned into the past, to places that seem out of time or, in some way, reach back into time. Connor has a deep affinity for nature and a great curiosity about how various cultures have created their sacred and traditional sites in relation to the natural world. This book reflects what drew her attention, curiosity and awe. ‘PERU’ reveals the traces of Peru’s nature, life, people and time, and we experience a spiritual journey in Peru as the page turns. It is Connor’s ‘Opus #1’, which marks the beginning of her huge series. It is a limited edition of 100 handcrafted copies, and includes one original print.
